What We Offer

Experience 4x4 is a registered Lantra site.We offer professional, accredited training, instruction and courses for off-road driver training.

Trainers can provide Lantra and N.P.O.R.S. professionally recognized certificates with a variety of vehicles.

Here at Experience4x4 we have specially designed obstacles for your training needs. These are kept specifically your personal use in order to preserve their condition. All of the site is available for training if required.  

‘The Bothy’ has classroom facilities, with white board, tables and seating, snacks, drinks and toilets,power, basic wash down facilities and plenty of parking.

We are located 25 minutes from the A9 and only 20 minutes from Inverness.

LANTRA Off-Road Training

Our site is a recognized Lantra Training site and is available for use all year. All LANTRA trainers are welcome to use it.

If you would like to use one of our vehicles please ask at time of booking or let us know which vehicles you would like to bring.

£100 per day site hire for 1 trainer and up to 3 trainees.

A choice of manual or Automatic Landrover Discoverys are available. £100 per vehicle hire per day.

National Plant Operators Registration Scheme Training

Some of our recent clients have been trained on ATV/Argocats, Dumper trucks, diggers and Soft Tracks to gain their NPORS professional qualifications. We can forward your request to a suitable instructor who will negotiate price on application or go to www.contourtraining.com

4x4 Off-Road driving course content

On completion of a 4x4 Off Road driving course candidates will be able to:

· Carry out a risk assessment and plan the safest route across varying terrain

· Understand the main principles of driving a 4x4 vehicle off-road

· Recognise the safe working environment for off-road vehicles on typical ground surface conditions

· Be able to assess the suitability of any ground/route before attempting to drive over it

· Prepare and perform the necessary checks to ensure the safety of the vehicle off-road and on-road

· Safely operate a vehicle in an off-road situation with a variety of typical ground surface conditions (slopes, mud, obstacles, water)

· Have an understanding of the dangers of vehicle recovery

 

LANTRA Individual 4x4 Off-Road Training

We have a dedicated local LANTRA instructor for your ‘individual’ off-road training for those of you who would like to gain a LANTRA qualification for your personal needs. Please call us to book. £325 per day inc hire of our vehicle and accredited Lantra training.

Our instructor has many years of experience as a former DSA ADI driving instructor and meets all necessary instructor qualifications.
